Le Gircor annonce la publication du troisième rapport de la Charte de transparence sur le recours aux animaux à des fins scientifiques et réglementaires.
Signée par 47 organismes de recherche publics et privés, la Charte de transparence s’inscrit dans une démarche collective visant à répondre aux attentes croissantes de la société en matière d’éthique, de responsabilité scientifique et de pédagogie.
Les résultats du sondage « Les Français et la recherche animale » réalisé en 2025 par Ipsos pour le Gircor montrent en effet que la perception de la recherche animale reste fortement liée au niveau d’information du public. Les personnes les plus opposées à cette pratique sont souvent celles qui connaissent le moins les conditions réelles de son utilisation, la réglementation en vigueur ou les principes des 3R (Replace, Reduce, Refine).

Face à ce constat, les signataires poursuivent leurs actions pour rendre la recherche plus compréhensible et accessible :
- organisation de visites d’animaleries pour des étudiants, scolaires, élus ou citoyens,
- journées portes ouvertes,
- portraits de chercheurs et interventions dans les médias,
- création de pages web pédagogiques sur les 3R, les alternatives et le cadre réglementaire.
Le rapport souligne également que, si des progrès significatifs ont été réalisés dans la diffusion d’informations claires et pédagogiques, des marges d’amélioration subsistent, notamment en matière de régularité de communication et de dialogue avec le public.
Selon Ivan Balansard, Président du Gircor, la Charte de transparence participe à un mouvement international visant à renforcer la confiance entre science et société en favorisant l’ouverture, l’explication et le dialogue autour de la recherche.
