Créée initialement aux États-Unis et au Mexique, Actipulse Neuroscience est une entreprise spécialisée dans la technologie de neuromodulation transcrânienne non invasive à haute fréquence et basse intensité pour le traitement des maladies du système nerveux central (SNC).

Depuis 2017, Actipulse a démontré son efficacité dans le traitement de la dépression sévère, avec un dispositif commercialisé en Amérique Latine et un autre dispositif actuellement en essai clinique de phase 3 pour un usage à domicile.

En 2023, l’entreprise s’est établie en France, s’appuyant sur son expertise développée au Mexique pour étendre son champ d’application à d’autres pathologies du cerveau et a obtenu le statut Jeune Entreprise Innovante pour les projets de recherche en développement.

Grâce à une modulation des paramètres de stimulation, notre technologie induit une perturbation temporaire de la barrière hémato-encéphalique, permettant ainsi d’améliorer l’efficacité des molécules thérapeutiques délivrées dans le cerveau.

Actipulse vise à révolutionner le traitement des maladies du SNC en ayant pour but de diminuer les doses et la toxicité des traitements existants, mais aussi de permettre à de nouvelles molécules d’arriver sur le marché, ce qui améliorerait la prise en charge des patients grâce aux thérapies ciblées.

Actipulse Neuroscience se concentre actuellement sur des essais pré-cliniques pour évaluer l’efficacité de la combinaison du temozolomide avec notre technologie dans le traitement du glioblastome multiforme (GBM). L’objectif est de déterminer la capacité de cette thérapie combinée à pénétrer la BHE et à améliorer la réponse au traitement pour les patients atteints de GBM.

Parallèlement, nous explorons le potentiel de notre technologie pour améliorer la délivrance de médicaments dans d’autres troubles du SNC tels que les maladies neurodégénératives et les maladies lysosomales. Nous caractérisons également les mécanismes d’action sous-jacents de la stimulation magnétique sur les cellules endothéliales de la BHE afin de sécuriser notre technologie.

Nous recherchons activement des collaborations avec des entreprises de biotechnologie développant des médicaments afin de renforcer leurs efforts de développement clinique et d’avancer notre plateforme de découverte de médicaments. En outre, nous sommes en levée de fonds et recherchons des investisseurs pour soutenir le développement de notre produit et accélérer notre croissance.

Après plus d’un an d’incubation à l’Institut du Cerveau à Paris, Actipulse vient d’être sélectionné pour rejoindre le Catalyseur Santé, afin de s’intégrer dans l’écosystème Paris Ouest et de bénéficier du soutien de la région Ile-de-France dans son développement.

Actipulse est lauréat de plusieurs programmes d’accompagnement dont le programme HIIT (Health Innovation Intense Training) and Calling2Scale (EIT Health). Notre recherche est également soutenue par BPI France grâce à la bourse FrenchTech Emergence.
