Fondée en 2008 par Hugues CONTAMIN, Cynbiose est une CRO (Contract Research Organisation) unique en Europe, spécialisée dans les études précliniques sur le modèle Primate Non-Humain (PNH).
La société intervient à chaque étape du développement préclinique d’un nouveau produit de santé humain basé sur l’utilisation d’un modèle in-vivo translationnel, très pertinent, les primates non-humains (NHP), pour valider le passage aux phases réglementaires ou cliniques.

Depuis 16 ans, Cynbiose accompagne des sociétés de biotechnologie et de l’industrie pharmaceutique nationales et internationales avec différents services :

Besoins en matériels biologiques
Études de toxicologie exploratoires pour l’évaluation principalement de biothérapies, de thérapies géniques et de vaccins
Études d’efficacité pour les maladies neurologiques et les maladies respiratoires/infectieuses
Études pour investigation fine du mécanisme d’action (MOA) en parallèle des phases II des études cliniques
Consulting pour élaborer un plan de développement préclinique chez le PNH

En 2021, Cynbiose a lancé la construction d’un bâtiment unique en Europe dans le cadre du projet Xpansion, supporté par l’état et la région Auvergne Rhône Alpes. Couvrant une superficie de 3 000 m², ce bâtiment comprend 500 m² de salles d’hébergement et d’espaces de laboratoires ainsi que 800m2 de surfaces de bureaux et des zones techniques. Les différents niveaux de bio-confinement de l’installation permettent la manipulation de pathogènes BSL 2-3 comme des virus, des bactéries (incluant des pathogènes à transmission par aérosols) et des OGM C1-3.

La sécurité est une des priorités, basée sur une surveillance vidéo 24h/24, des systèmes d’alarmes multiples, une sécurité informatique pour une protection et une confidentialité renforcées.

Nous avons fondé l’AFSSI, il y a 12 ans, pour favoriser les échanges au sein du réseau des TPE-PME françaises prestataires de R&D préclinique et pour porter leur voix auprès des pouvoirs publics et des donneurs d’ordre que sont les sociétés de biotechnologie et l’industrie pharmaceutique.

L’AFSSI, association unique en Europe, a rapidement été en mesure de structurer, dynamiser et de représenter efficacement cette filière stratégique au regard des enjeux de compétitivité des entreprises et de souveraineté nationale dans le secteur de la santé.

« Je suis investi dans l’association au sein du conseil d’administration depuis sa création et j’assure les missions de Président depuis 4 ans. Je conçois le rôle de Président en quelque sorte comme mon rôle de chef d’entreprise qui doit porter une vision et surtout un plan d’actions. Je conçois ce rôle dans le partage, la communication avec les collègues des autres sociétés membres. C’est donc un rôle de coordinateur, d’animateur, mais aussi un rôle de porte-parole en direction des autres acteurs de l’écosystème. »
