Ce partenariat entre la biotech Montpelliéraine et une industrie pharmaceutique Japonaise de premier plan confère à Shionogi le droit d’obtenir une licence mondiale sur CIL001 et/ou CIL003, deux candidats médicaments prometteurs visant à traiter les déficiences auditives, et plus particulièrement la surdité cachée et les acouphènes :

Cilcare recevra un paiement initial de 15 millions d’euros.
Cilcare est éligible à recevoir jusqu’à 400 millions d’euros en paiements d’étapes lors du développement et de la commercialisation réussis des candidats médicaments.
Shionogi décidera d’exercer l’option en fonction des résultats des études de Phase 2a de CIL001 et des données des études précliniques de CIL003, toutes deux menées par Cilcare

Cette collaboration représente une étape cruciale pour répondre à la crise sanitaire mondiale posée par la surdité cachée et les acouphènes, offrant de l’espoir à des millions de personnes dans le monde.
