Un projet scientifique et humain
En 2018, Guillaume Brachet apprend qu’il est atteint de la maladie de Parkinson.
Après la lecture de travaux scientifiques de l’Université KU Leuven en Belgique, Guillaume trouve une idée de traitement.
Afin d’effectuer les premières expériences et valider son hypothèse, il collecte des fonds. Il se lance dans la remontée de la Loire à contre-courant. « Pagayer à contre-courant revient à lutter contre quelque chose qui progresse inexorablement, ce qui est le cas d’une maladie neurodégénérative. La seule façon de freiner son évolution est d’avancer, toujours avancer. Si l’on s’arrête, on recule » explique Guillaume.
Grâce à cela, il récolte une enveloppe de 35k€ pour monter son projet.
Pour Sandra Robelet, Directrice Scientifique à Syncrosome, c’est un projet scientifique et humain qui montre que la recherche préclinique en France est active, impliquée et concrète.
La santé humaine au cœur de nos métiers
Guillaume noue un partenariat atypique avec Neuron Experts et notre membre Syncrosome. Les deux sociétés ont annoncé qu’elles ajouteraient 45.000€ pour effectuer des manipulations plus précises; pour sortir des résultats plus robustes.
Les premiers tests précliniques d’efficacité de candidats médicaments sont déjà en cours.
Ensemble, ils souhaitent trouver un traitement capable d’enrayer l’évolution de la maladie de Parkinson.
