This initiative is supported by EIT Health. \nToday’s COVID-19 crisis requires a previously unimaginable acceleration of output from the biopharmaceutical and life sciences industry. It raises the question about the ability to find the right partner in developing diagnostics\, drug treatments and\, ultimately\, a COVID-19 vaccine. Beyond R&D – COVID-19 also raises a series of questions about the ability to handle the massive scale-up needed to deliver urgent solutions to protect health workers in the front line of the epidemic and patients alike. \nThe way forward requires an enormous leadership and collaboration effort within the life sciences industry to leave no stone unturned. \n#PartneringAgainstCOVID19 is enabling small and big players worldwide to meet and match their skills and efforts against COVID-19. \nThe event is being made possible by Inova\, which is leveraging its biopharma industry expertise\, its leading digital networking platform and years of experience in organizing partnering events. DESCRIPTION:NOTICE OF VIRTUAL ANNUAL MEETING PREVIEW\nOn March 10\, the AACR Board of Directors made the difficult decision\, after careful consideration and comprehensive evaluation of currently available information related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak\, to terminate the AACR Annual Meeting 2020\, originally scheduled for April 24-29 in San Diego\, California. A rescheduled meeting is being planned for August; an official announcement of the dates and location will be made in the near future. \nBeginning on Monday\, April 27\, the AACR will host a slate of online sessions featuring innovative presentations of proffered papers and invited content. The virtual meeting program will include clinical trial data from submitted abstracts as well as basic and translational science selected by the Annual Meeting Scientific Program Committee. Detailed information about the virtual program will be announced soon. \nThe AACR is aware that some conference registrants are being solicited by an unauthorized company trying to obtain credit card information by phone and email to secure housing accommodations at this conference. CMR (Convention Management Resources) is the official hotel management company for The AACR Annual Meeting. No other hotel management company or travel agency is authorized to place reservations on behalf of AACR.
