SUMMARY:26èmes Journées Jeunes Chercheurs (SCT)
DESCRIPTION:The YRFM Young Research Fellows Meeting is an initiative of the French Medicinal Chemistry Society (SCT). The 25th edition in Orleans gathered 250 young participants from Europe. The 26th edition will take place at the School of Pharmacy in Paris (during three days February\, 20-22\, 2019). \nThis meeting brings together young European scientists (PhD students\, post-doctoral fellows and young academic/industrial confirmed researchers) and gives them the opportunity to present and discuss the latest innovations and future trends in Medicinal Chemistry. \nThe topics presented cover all aspects of research in medicinal chemistry: the research and validation of biological targets of therapeutic interest\, screening\, design\, optimization and selection of drug candidates\, chemical biology\, medicinal chemistry\, pharmacokinetics\, metabolism and toxicity (ADME-T: absorption\, distribution\, metabolism\, excretion\, toxicity). \nThe 2019 PLENARY CONFERENCES\n\nGilles Guichard (IECB\, Bordeaux): Foldamers for mimicking and engineering the backbone of biologically active peptides.\nGilles Pagès (IRCAN\, Nice): New therapeutic approaches in resistant kidney cancer care.\nFernanda Borges (Faculté de Pharmacie\, Porto): Drug discovery and neurodegenerative diseases: time for a change of tack.\nChantal Andraud (ENS\, Lyon):  Biphotonic molecules in the service of biophotonics.\nEmmanuel Mikros (Faculté de Pharmacie\, Athènes): Using advanced and analytical tools for efficient discovery of new bioactive compounds\n\nAwards:\n\nThe best oral communications/posters will receive an award allowing young scientists in attending international meetings.\nIndividual career sessions: Individual one-hour meetings will be organized with representatives of human resource managers from major pharmaceutical firms as well as from start-ups (simulated job interviews\, recommendations to present appropriately CV…).\n\nContact :\nyoung.medchem@sct-asso.fr \nRegister now:\nDeadline for registration: 15th January\, 2019. \nRegistration
