DESCRIPTION:FNM 2018 – 3rd Meeting of the Federation of Neurogastroenterology and Motility and Postgraduate Course on Gastrointestinal Motility\nDu mercredi 29 août au samedi 1er septembre 2018\, la conférence biennale internationale Neuro-gastro-entérologie et motilité\, FNM 2018\, aura lieu au centre de congrès RAI d’Amsterdam. FNM signifie Fédération de neuro-gastroentérologie et de motilité\, comprenant 5 sociétés continentales de neurogastroentérologie\, parmi lesquelles la Société européenne de neurogastroentérologie et de motilité (ESNM). L’ESNM accueillera le congrès en 2018. André Smout et Arjan Bredenoord (Academic Medical Center\, Amsterdam) sont les hôtes locaux. \nLes congrès FNM visent à réunir des scientifiques de base\, des cliniciens et d’autres parties intéressées et à fournir les plateformes pour une interaction optimale entre ces groupes. Dans le programme scientifique principal de FNM 2018\, qui aura duré 2\,5 jours\, 56 conférenciers invités du monde entier fourniront des aperçus mettant l’accent sur les derniers développements. Les résumés soumis les mieux notés seront programmés comme des présentations orales intercalées entre les conférences invitées. De plus\, il y aura du temps pour les séances de posters. \nLe mercredi 29 août\, précédant le congrès principal\, un cours de troisième cycle sur la motilité gastro-intestinale aura lieu. Ce cours d’une journée s’adresse principalement aux cliniciens. Dix-huit conférenciers de renommée mondiale donneront un aperçu des récents développements dans ce domaine. Il est possible de s’inscrire au cours de troisième cycle seulement. Il y a des frais réduits pour ceux qui s’inscrivent au cours et au programme principal.

Certes les défis techniques sont importants\, mais l’arrivée sur le marché de solutions fiables permet de surmonter la plupart des difficultés rencontrées jusque-là.\nEt dès à présent\, avec un champ des possibles considérablement élargi\, de nouvelles questions émergent\, en ce qui concerne les capacités d’analyse\, mais également la manière de traiter les données produites en histopathologie multiplexe\, mais aussi la question de l’utilité scientifique et médicale qui en résulte. \nNous pensons qu’il est temps de permettre à la communauté francophone d’échanger et de partager dans l’objectif de : \n\nFaciliter l’accès de chaque participant aux solutions lui permettant de résoudre ses difficultés techniques\n\n\nIdentifier les défis techniques pour lesquels aucune solution n’est proposée à ce jour sur le marché\n\n\nPartager des retours d’expérience sur l’analyse des données multiplexes\n\n\nDéfinir les opportunités scientifiques et médicales pour lesquelles l’histopathologie multiplexe peut constituer une solution pertinente.\n\n\nTout simplement faire émerger dans la communauté francophone un effet d’émulation et faire naître des collaborations.\n\nTrouvez ici le programme et les informations

SUMMARY:9th Santorini Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Santorini Conference Series have been founded in 2000 on the initiative of Professor Gerard Siest (┼\, INSERM UMR U1122; IGE-PCV\, University of Lorraine\, Nancy\, France\,in memory of Gerard Siest) and several representatives of industrial companies with the intention to create an independent and open platform to mediate “translation” in personalised medicine. \nWith a Steering Committee (SC) and a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) with members across academia\, clinics and industry\, the 9th Santorini Conference aims to facilitate scientific exchange between basic research\, industrial research and medical areas. The conference has been maintained and strengthened by a sustainable and clearly visible new concept with respect to content\, structure\, economy and people. \nThe title is dealing with Greek mythology in the spirit of the island and of thematic obstacles to resolve and overcome: \nSystems Medicine\, Personalised Health & Therapy. “The Odyssey from Hope to Practice” with a special focus on “cardio-metabolic diseases and cancer”. \n  \nThe scientific programme also includes 1 session with young researchers’ lectures. The 2 best posters will be granted with “Gerard Siest” awards. \nThe 9th Conference aims to answer: \n\nCan genetic screening help identify individuals at greatest risk for cardio-metabolic diseases and cancer?\nWhat is the greatest clinical need with regard to diagnosis\, prediction and patient stratification for these pathologies and how this is/can be addressed?\nDoes a genetic risk score identify patients at highest risk and is its use justified in clinical practice?\nWhat are the challenges of the current clinical trials?\nWhat about comorbidities with aging?\nWhat is the impact of pharmacogenomics on:\nDeliverance of more predictable responses to drug therapy\nMinimisation of the occurrence and severity of adverse drug reactions\nConduction of more cost-effective clinical trials\nDrug discovery and the drug development process\nDo the existing diagnostic tools answer the needs of pharmacogenomics?
