Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Keen Eye Data Engineer in computer science and image analysis will:

  • Participate in the development of our machine-learning core algorithms.
  • Develop Data Science project(s) focused on image-based assays.
  • Work with a wide range of tools and technologies and be able to quantitatively evaluate them.
  • Participate actively in our R&D sessions (journal clubs, technology meet-ups, hackathon, …)
  • Development, management and evolution of the core framework of the platform.
  • Design and development of tailored image analysis algorithms, from the prototype to the production stage.
  • Coordinating off-site developments with suppliers and clients on a per-project basis.

Profile

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field.
  • Experience in image analysis algorithms using classical machine vision techniques; knowledge of modern deep learning approaches is a plus.
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience with code optimisation and with implementing complex algorithms and data structures
  • Envision the systems and architectures as a whole to decide what to improve, replace, and remove.
  • Proficiency  of Python and C++ is required
  • Proficiency in web API, REST API/Web-sockets
  • Experience working within a regulated software development environment using software engineering best practices including defect tracking, design reviews, and appropriate testing.
  • Experience with Deep Learning frameworks, e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch
  • Fluency in English.
